ESN Position

Our Line in the Committee.

The Group’s priorities in this committee, as set out in the ESN Committee Booklet.
01

Cohesion Policy for Balanced Territorial Development

ESN defends cohesion policy as a tool for balanced territorial development rather than political pressure against Member States.

02

Fair Access to Funds, Simpler Rules

It supports fair access to funds, strong national and regional decision-making, a meaningful role for local authorities, assistance for rural, border and less-developed regions, simpler rules and lower administrative burdens.
