The ESN Group in the European Parliament warmly congratulates Pope Leo XIV on his election and extends its heartfelt wishes for a pontificate marked by blessing and strength. As the spiritual leader of more than one billion Catholics, he assumes a responsibility of historic and global significance.
The co-president of the ESN Group, René Aust, explains:
„Especially in times of societal disorientation, the voice of the Church can serve as a vital compass and anchor.
May Pope Leo XIV, with wisdom, courage, and the help of God, strengthen the bond between faith, truth, and freedom in Europe.
