Say goodbye to vacations: the North Sea and Baltic Sea coasts are allegedly “beyond saving”!

The German Meteorological Society (DMG) and the German Physical Society (DPG) are proposing a discussion about a possible “retreat” from coastal regions on the North Sea and Baltic Sea—that is, abandoning certain high-risk areas.

They justify this with an expected rise in sea level and the associated challenges for coastal protection. Critics, however, point out that sea-level rise has so far been moderate and that existing protective measures are effective.

ESN Member of the European Parliament (AfD) Anja Arndt comments:

“This scaremongering is irresponsible! Talking like this harms millions of citizens by devaluing their property. Instead of reason and science, we are witnessing ideological climate hysteria at the expense of the people.

Germany needs the AfD and Europe needs ESN to finally put a stop to this climate policy that is directed against citizens, the economy, and the environment.”
