IT Specialist – Digital Workplace and Local System Administration Expert

Are you passionate about IT and eager to support a dynamic team within the European Parliament? We are urgently seeking a highly skilled and autonomous IT Specialist to manage digital workplace, office automation, mobile computing, and local system administration tasks. If you are an experienced professional with a strong problem-solving mindset, this role is for you!

A. Key Responsibilities

Digital Workplace, Office Automation, and Mobile Computing

· Install and configure PC, Mac, and mobile device hardware and software.

  • Administer and manage local IT environments, focusing on workplace devices.
  • Define and document configurations for PCs, Macs, and mobile devices.
  • Draft and maintain operational support procedures and knowledge database content.
  • Monitor and enforce security measures, including antivirus and compliance with central and local rules.
  • Manage software assets and licenses effectively.

Local System Administration

· Administer systems and applications with a local scope, including servers and shared network resources.

  • Install and configure system components and server software.
  • Perform incident analysis, troubleshooting, and coordination with IT departments and external contractors.
  • Manage user accounts and rights in a Windows environment.
  • Handle backups and data recovery operations.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including disaster recovery plans.

B. Qualifications

General Requirements

· Highly autonomous with advanced IT management skills.

  • Exceptional problem-solving capabilities.

Technical Skills

· Expertise in Office Automation (MS Windows, Mac OS, MS Office, and productivity applications).

  • Proficiency in MS Windows configuration tools and Active Directory policy management tools.
  • Scripting skills with PowerShell.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Windows Server, RedHat Server, and SharePoint services.
  • ITIL V4 Foundation Certification (or willingness to obtain certification within 3 months of hire).

Experience

· Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience.


Languages and Communication

· Fluent in English and/or French, both written and oral.

  • Excellent documentation and interpersonal communication skills.
