Response to ESN Inquiry: EU Refuses Repatriation of Syrian Refugees!

According to a response to a parliamentary question by MEP Alexander Jungbluth, the EU refuses to repatriate Syrian refugees to their home country.

Commenting on this, Alexander Jungbluth, Member of the European Parliament for the ESN Group, states:

“It took the EU Commission a full four months to respond to my inquiry. And the answer is sobering! Despite the regime change in Syria and the disappearance of the original grounds for fleeing the Assad government, the EU is not planning any repatriations.

For the EU, it apparently makes no difference whether an asylum seeker still has valid grounds for protection or not. The asylum system continues to serve only one purpose: to flood the EU with largely unqualified and culturally alien migrants. Once again, this response shows that the EU has no real interest in ending mass migration in the interest of its own citizens.”
