Arno Bausemer

Arno Bausemer is a German Member of the European Parliament, elected in 2024. He serves as a full member of the Committee on Budgetary Control, the Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection and the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development. He is also a member of the delegation for relations with Canada.

His public service is rooted in local government in the Stendal area. He has served on Stendal City Council since 2019, chairs its AfD group and also serves on Stendal District Council, where he chairs the Committee for Economic Development. He was previously a lay judge at the Magdeburg Administrative Court. In the European Parliament, he is a substitute member of the Committee on Transport and Tourism and of the delegation to the EU-Russia Parliamentary Cooperation Committee.
