Lee Zeldin, den nyutn\u00e4mnde amerikanske milj\u00f6chefen, upph\u00e4vde f\u00f6rordningen \u201cEndangerment Finding\u201d, som hittills utgjort grunden f\u00f6r den amerikanska klimatpolitiken inom transportsektorn. Beslutet fick officiellt st\u00f6d av president Donald Trump och markerar en tydlig kurs\u00e4ndring i den amerikanska industri- och milj\u00f6politiken.<\/p>\n<p>Markus Buchheit, ledamot i ESN-gruppen, kommenterade detta p\u00e5 f\u00f6ljande s\u00e4tt:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDonald Trump visar att ekonomiskt sunt f\u00f6rnuft och en teknikneutral industripolitik inte beh\u00f6ver vara en mots\u00e4ttning \u2013 till skillnad fr\u00e5n Europeiska kommissionen och dess gr\u00f6na, paternalistiska agenda.\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>USA r\u00e4ttar d\u00e4rmed till ett avg\u00f6rande misstag. EU, d\u00e4remot, h\u00e5ller envist fast vid sitt centralt planerade f\u00f6rbud mot f\u00f6rbr\u00e4nningsmotorer fr\u00e5n och med 2035 \u2013 och f\u00f6rst\u00f6r medvetet hundratusentals arbetstillf\u00e4llen inom bilindustrin och underleverant\u00f6rsindustrin.<\/p>\n<p>Samtidigt som Friedrich Merz offentligt beklagar f\u00f6rbr\u00e4nningsmotorns underg\u00e5ng har hans parti f\u00f6r l\u00e4nge sedan banat v\u00e4g f\u00f6r detta i Europaparlamentet och i r\u00e5det. Unionen spelar ett dubbelspel: i Bryssel r\u00f6star de plikttroget med De gr\u00f6na och socialisterna \u2013 medan de i Berlin utger sig f\u00f6r att vara oppositionen.
