Die twee horen bij elkaar.<\/p>\n<cite>Medevoorzitters van de ESN-fractie<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De fractie wijst erop dat de bevoegdheid voor aangelegenheden inzake verblijf en staatsburgerschap bij de nationale parlementen blijft berusten. Zij verwerpt de herverdeling van asielzoekers via bindende quota; in plaats daarvan zouden lidstaten met zwaar belaste buitengrenzen operationele en financi\u00eble steun moeten ontvangen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Het voorstel zal tijdens de zittingsweek in juni worden besproken in de Commissie burgerlijke vrijheden, justitie en binnenlandse zaken. It was agreed by the delegations of all nine member parties and follows on from the joint statement on migration policy issued in April.\n\nAt the heart of the proposal is the principle that border control remains the responsibility of the member states.
