De concrete invulling van de overeenkomst vertoont echter aanzienlijke tekortkomingen, met name wat betreft de belangen van de Duitse industrie.<\/p>\n<p>De geplande verlaging van de Australische luxebelasting uitsluitend voor elektrische voertuigen is een realiteitsvreemde en eenzijdige maatregel. Met name Duitse premiumfabrikanten, die van oudsher een sterke positie op de Australische markt innemen, worden hierdoor benadeeld en onderworpen aan ideologisch gemotiveerde beperkingen. Tegen de achtergrond van het feit dat de Duitse voertuigexport naar Australi\u00eb vorig jaar al met 20 procent is gedaald, is het onduidelijk hoe deze voorwaarden enig positief momentum zouden moeten cre\u00ebren.<\/p>\n<p>Tegelijkertijd zal de Duitse toeleveringsindustrie voor extra uitdagingen komen te staan als gevolg van de volledige tariefvrije toegang voor Australische producten, zonder dat er sprake lijkt te zijn van een evenwichtige afweging van belangen.<\/p>\n<p>Een vrijhandelsovereenkomst mag er niet toe leiden dat bepaalde technologie\u00ebn of aandrijfvormen politiek worden bevoordeeld of benadeeld.
