Tijdens de economische dialoog van gisteren in de ECON-commissie waarschuwde EU-commissaris Valdis Dombrovskis voor aanzienlijke economische risico\u2019s als gevolg van de energieprijscrisis. Volgens de Commissie zouden nieuwe schokken in de energievoorziening de groei in 2026 en 2027 met maximaal 0,6 procentpunt kunnen verminderen en de inflatie met maximaal 1,5 procentpunt kunnen doen stijgen. Desondanks houdt de Commissie vast aan haar huidige koers. Hierover verklaarde Siegbert Droese, AfD-lid van het Europees Parlement:<\/p>\n

\u201cDe verklaringen van de Commissie leggen het huidige EU-beleid bloot: zij beschrijft zelf de enorme economische schade die door haar energiebeleid wordt veroorzaakt, en toch zet zij dit onverstoorbaar voort.<\/p>\n

De Commissie bevestigt dat haar beleid de groei afremt en de inflatie aanwakkert. Tegelijkertijd wil zij deze koers nog verder intensiveren, met meer regelgeving, meer interventie en een politiek gedreven stijging van de energieprijzen. Dit is geen crisisbeheer, maar een beleid dat gericht is tegen de eigen economie.<\/p>\n

Terwijl burgers en bedrijven te lijden hebben onder hoge energieprijzen, blijft Brussel vasthouden aan ideologische projecten. De voorkeursbehandeling van elektriciteit ten opzichte van fossiele brandstoffen en de verdere aanscherping van de emissiehandel zullen de last nog verder verzwaren. Met name kleine en middelgrote ondernemingen worden hierdoor zwaar getroffen, aangezien zij de gevolgen van dit beleid het sterkst ondervinden.<\/p>\n

Tegelijkertijd wordt een fundamentele tegenstrijdigheid duidelijk: de lidstaten worden geacht de gevolgen van de crisis op te vangen, maar hun manoeuvreerruimte wordt ernstig beperkt door EU-regels. De verantwoordelijkheid wordt gedelegeerd, terwijl de controle in Brussel blijft.<\/p>\n

Het feit dat de digitale euro parallel hieraan wordt doorgezet, onderstreept de verkeerde prioriteiten van de Europese Commissie. In plaats van zich te richten op economische stabiliteit en welvaart, worden centrale controle-instrumenten verder uitgebreid.<\/p>\n

Dit beleid brengt de groei, het concurrentievermogen en de sociale cohesie in Europa in gevaar. Wat Europa nu nodig heeft, is geen verdere aanscherping, maar een fundamentele koerswijziging in de richting van betaalbare energie, economisch gezond verstand en daadwerkelijke verlichting voor burgers en bedrijven.\u201d<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
