Sarah Knafo's own-initiative report on European technological sovereignty strengthened the Group's credibility, and several of its priorities - including European cloud and artificial-intelligence capacity, data hosting and regulatory relief - were reflected in the Commission's Technological Sovereignty Package presented in June 2026. On two nuclear files for which Marcin Sypniewski serves as shadow rapporteur, ESN helped secure a favourable consensus and sustained funding for fission.
