It has voted against increases in healthcare spending that it considered insufficiently justified and has raised concerns about medicinal-product safety, procurement practices and freedom of healthcare choice. ESN also challenged the decision not to examine a petition from a clinical-trial participant whose reported injuries were not reflected in the data.
