ESN-ryhm\u00e4n lis\u00e4ksi ehdotusta kannattivat EPP, ECR ja PfE, mik\u00e4 merkitsee selke\u00e4\u00e4 k\u00e4\u00e4nnett\u00e4 yhdess\u00e4 t\u00e4m\u00e4n vaalikauden keskeisist\u00e4 maahanmuuttoasioista.<\/p>\n<p>ESN-ryhm\u00e4n LIBE-valiokunnan j\u00e4senet ovat Mary Khan, Milan Uhr\u00edk ja Ewa Zaj\u0105czkowska-Hernik.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c4\u00e4nestys merkitsee k\u00e4\u00e4nnekohtaa Euroopan maahanmuuttopolitiikassa. Aiemman avoimien rajojen politiikan katsotaan yleisesti ep\u00e4onnistuneen, ja Euroopan parlamentissa on ensimm\u00e4ist\u00e4 kertaa muodostunut oikeistolainen enemmist\u00f6, joka tukee todellista muutosta maahanmuuttopolitiikassa.<\/p>\n<p>P\u00e4\u00e4t\u00f6s on tehty tilanteessa, jossa nykyinen j\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4 on osoittautunut tehottomaksi: t\u00e4ll\u00e4 hetkell\u00e4 vain noin 20 prosenttia maastapoistumism\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4yksen saaneista laittomista maahanmuuttajista todella poistuu EU:sta. Hyv\u00e4ksytyn mietinn\u00f6n tavoitteena on nopeuttaa palautuksia, tehostaa niit\u00e4 ja helpottaa niiden t\u00e4yt\u00e4nt\u00f6\u00f6npanoa j\u00e4senvaltioissa.<\/p>\n<p>Keskeisi\u00e4 toimenpiteit\u00e4 ovat muun muassa elinik\u00e4iset maahantulokiellot henkil\u00f6ille, jotka muodostavat uhan yleiselle turvallisuudelle, kauppapakotteet kolmansille maille, jotka kielt\u00e4ytyv\u00e4t ottamasta kansalaisiaan takaisin, sek\u00e4 laajennetut pid\u00e4tysmahdollisuudet palautusten t\u00e4yt\u00e4nt\u00f6\u00f6npanemiseksi. Siin\u00e4 ennakoidaan my\u00f6s l\u00e4\u00e4ketieteellisi\u00e4 ik\u00e4arviointeja ja lis\u00e4valtuuksia elektronisten laitteiden tarkastamiseen henkil\u00f6llisyyden ja alkuper\u00e4n varmistamiseksi.<\/p>\n<p>Valiokunnan \u00e4\u00e4nestyksen my\u00f6t\u00e4 alkaa nyt seuraava vaihe: neuvottelut neuvoston ja komission kanssa, joissa hyv\u00e4ksyttyj\u00e4 toimenpiteit\u00e4 on
