Hintergrund dieser Forderung sind Vorw\u00fcrfe, wonach die USAID versucht habe, die Europawahlen 2024 durch Desinformationskampagnen in mehreren EU-L\u00e4ndern zu beeinflussen. Diese Vorw\u00fcrfe st\u00fctzen sich auf Enth\u00fcllungen von Elon Musk und Donald Trump bez\u00fcglich illegaler Praktiken innerhalb der USAID.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTrump hat fantastische Vorarbeit geleistet; nun m\u00fcssen auch wir schnell und umfassend illegale Wahlbeeinflussung durch ausl\u00e4ndische Staaten in Europa aufdecken\u201d, sagte Bystron. Er erkl\u00e4rte, es bestehe der starke Verdacht, dass ausl\u00e4ndische Einfl\u00fcsse die Zusammensetzung des EU-Parlaments massiv manipuliert h\u00e4tten. \u201cDie EU muss alle Formen hybrider Kriegsf\u00fchrung, ausl\u00e4ndischer Propaganda und Desinformation unerbittlich bek\u00e4mpfen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bystron kritisierte, dass von USAID finanzierte Medien gezielt gegen oppositionelle Kr\u00e4fte vorgegangen seien. \u201cUnsere Demokratie muss vor ausl\u00e4ndischen Einfl\u00fcssen gesch\u00fctzt werden\u201d, sagte der AfD-Politiker. Er argumentierte, es sei die Verantwortung der europ\u00e4ischen Institutionen, diese Manipulationen zu untersuchen und die Sicherheit k\u00fcnftiger Wahlen zu gew\u00e4hrleisten.<\/p>\n<p>Die US-Agentur f\u00fcr internationale Entwicklung (USAID) sieht sich derzeit der Kritik ausgesetzt, angeblich Geheimdienstmittel eingesetzt zu haben, um Wahlen zu beeinflussen und weltweit Regimewechsel herbeizuf\u00fchren. US-Pr\u00e4sident Donald Trump hat daher das Budget der USAID drastisch gek\u00fcrzt und alle Mitarbeiter mit Wirkung zum 7.
