Die EU hat ein Hilfspaket in H\u00f6he von 1,6 Milliarden Euro f\u00fcr die Pal\u00e4stinensische Autonomiebeh\u00f6rde bewilligt. Die Mittel sollen Reformen, den Wiederaufbau und die Verwaltungsstrukturen in der Region unterst\u00fctzen, insbesondere im Westjordanland und im Gazastreifen. Die EU betont, dass die Gelder an die Bereitschaft zu Reformen gekn\u00fcpft sind \u2013 konkrete Bedingungen wurden jedoch nicht festgelegt. Alexander Jungbluth, Europaabgeordneter der ESN-Fraktion, \u00e4u\u00dfert sich dazu wie folgt:<\/p>\n

\u201cWeit verbreitete Korruption, eine kaum funktionierende Verwaltung und Gebiete, die teilweise von der radikal-islamistischen Hamas kontrolliert werden \u2013 dorthin will die EU 1,6 Milliarden Euro an europ\u00e4ischen Steuergeldern schicken.\u201c.<\/p>\n

Wie das Geld tats\u00e4chlich verwendet wird, l\u00e4sst sich kaum \u00fcberwachen oder gar transparent nachverfolgen. Die EU spricht zwar von notwendigen Reformen, bleibt dar\u00fcber hinaus jedoch vage. Generell sollte Hilfe f\u00fcr andere L\u00e4nder stets an das Konzept der Remigration gekn\u00fcpft sein \u2013 in diesem Fall an die R\u00fcckf\u00fchrung krimineller und ausweisungsf\u00e4higer Pal\u00e4stinenser aus Europa.
